Trolling the Vampire

Len was sitting on the front porch steps of her lovely mansion, sipping blood out of her wine glass with ease. The vampire was enjoying her afternoon. It wasn't too bright but it wasn't cloudy. Len looked around her beautiful home. Chaos really did a excellent job. Her blue eyes looked at all the producing trees that surrounded her home. She stood up and wandered over to one of the orange trees.

Her hand reached up and plucked one of the oranges from the branch. It was a long time since she tasted one. Long ago, when she was human she loved oranges. Ate them everyday. But now, her taste for them has gone south. Then again, Len couldn't really just eat them without paying some sort of consequence later.

That is what sucks about being a vampire. Mortal food isn't as good as it once was. Blood was always better.

Len sighed and gripped the orange tightly in her hand before throwing it into the forest. She turned around expecting it to explode on a tree. But there was a sound. A thud. But it wasn't the noise she was expecting to hear against a tree. What was that?

The Doctor rubbed his head, staring down at the orange in his hand. He looked up, noting he was standing underneath an apple tree. He dropped the fruit, watching it roll for a moment before turning, his brown coat billowing, towards the magnificent building.

He whistled, impressed. The Time Lord had not seen architecture like this in...well, years. His brown eyes flowed across the pillars and framework, coming to rest on the pale figure on the porch. His eyes narrowed, the distance distorting the figure. The Doctor instead to a breath, attempting to distinguish the identity of the person by smell. His eyes widened and then narrowed again. Vampire.

'You cannot clump all together/ She may be nice/'

The Doctor nodded. He trusted his TARDIS, she rarely let him down. He shrugged, shaking off his reservations, and took long strides towards the house.

"Good afternoon. Mind if I join you?" the Doctor just hoped that the vampire did not have a taste for Time Lord blood.

Len was grumbling to herself as she drank more of her blood. She glanced up at the new body before setting her glass down and carefully wiping off the small bit of blood that was at the corner of her lip. She wiped her hand off on the grass before standing up. Her gray dress, a new dress that she acquired from her closet, swirled around her. It was sleeveless and low necked but didn't reveal much of her bodice.

Blue met brown. He smelled oddly familiar. Hmm, oh! She remembered now. He was the Doctor. She rode with him, Sorin, Loki, and Daybreak. Well in Daybreak but with the others. "Oh, 'alo Doc. Long time no see. Uh, yeah sure. Come, come. Did you bring Alfonso? John is out at the city getting me some more blood but he'll be back soon and would be more than overjoyed to give your crote some company. Oh, that wasn't you I hit with the orange was it? Oh, I am terribly sorry dear." Len said in a rush, her hand waving about in some places.

It was strange because she was acting like her mother. Waving her hand about and even sounding like her mother. Maybe it was slight homesickness that cause this.... Maybe.

Leaving the thought for later, Len stood up, glass in one hand, the other waved for the Doctor to follower her into the her home. She stopped at the doors, holding one open for him.

The Doctor dipped his head as he crossed the threshold. His lips pulled up into a smile. What a change in pace. A vampire inviting him into her house. Usually it is someone inadvertently inviting a vampire into their home. Alfonso trailed behind his bonded, looking around the place. The crote looked a little disappointed when he heard that his brother was out, but brightened when he learned that he would be back.

The Doctor put on his best smile, "I've had worse thrown at me, believe you me."

The inside was just as majestic as the outside, the furniture arranged beautifully, "You have a beautiful home, Lady Len."

Len smiled and closed the door behind them. She walked past the man and his crote heading towards the parlor. She grabbed a glass and set searching for some whiskey, or wine. Whatever she could find.

"Ah, thank you. It is a rather lovely home is it. Freshly built. Chaos created it. A lovely job he did." Len said as she grabbed a bottle of whiskey and looked at the Doctor. "Would you like some whiskey?" She offered.

She had set her glass down somewhere and now she couldn't remember where. Oh well, she'll find it later. Her eyes traveled to Alfonso and wondered if he could drink. If he can, she should probably offer him a glass.

The Doctor followed the vampire through to the parlor, still looking at the interior of the house. It was magnificent, bloody brilliant. Chaos did one good job, yes he did.

"Oh, thank you. Please," he might as well try some. He would never know if he liked the taste of whiskey until he tried some. The Doctor looked to Alfonso, motioning to the bottle. The crote looked at the Time Lord, to Len, to the bottle, and back to the Doctor. He nodded.

"I guess that Alfonso would like to try some as well."

Len smiled and nodded. She poured both men a glass and handed it to them. She set the bottle down and looked around for her glass. "Where is it... Ah-ha!" She said and walked over to the mantle to pick up the abandoned glass of blood.

She turned back to Doctor and Alfonso, smiling. "So, how are you men?" She asked, taking a sip from the glass. Len waved them over to the chairs that where scattered about the room. She sat down in one, crossing her legs.
