Loki Odinson [Marval's Thor]

Name: Prince Loki Odinson God of Mischief and lies

Age: Unknown. He does however appear to be around 26 in appearance.

Species: God. The species is not immortal as the humans believed, but only long lived. They are skilled in the arts of magic, or at least the women are. It is considered a shame for a male to take up magic as it is looked at as weak. Men are warriors and even some women like the Lady Sif.

Appearance: The prince has raven black hair, brilliant green eyes. Stands at 6'2" just under his brother, Thor. Often, he is mocked as a beanpole because of his lack of drive to fight as a warrior. Therefore, he is thin and pale. Loki wears his green mage robes of leather and other assorted metals.

Personality: Loki is mentally... unstable. He is very anxty because of years of abuse from his family, and even more time of loneliness. He does smile. That is... when his pranks amuse him. The prince largely enjoys other's misfortunes, and will fight just to make them possible. After being torn from his mistress, Athanasia, Loki has been searching for some sense of belonging. However, he has grown to hate Odin for ripping them apart just as he did his child, Sleipnir. A eight legged horse whom Loki had given birth to in a previous year.

He is the god of mischief and lies, and he lives up to his name. Somewhere deep inside the prince lays a heart, or is it gone? Who knows? Loki would unlikely ever allow the hopeful emotions of normality flow though him. At least not with his ego.


Background: The prince was raised as child of Odin and Frigga. King and Queen of Asgard. His brother, Thor heir to the throne. At an early age Loki showed great promise in the magical arts, and quickly became attuned to it's dark art. He indulged and with due time became the most powerful mage in all the realms, but it never seemed to be enough. The Royal family never quiet took in Loki's presence. He was a shame to the family. A weak male that would forever loom in his brother's shadow.


Loki is famous for his relationship with his mistress, Athanasia. An amazon women brought to Asgard by Odin to join his guard. The prince quickly became attached to her, and their relationship quickly turning romantic. Loki revealed many things about himself in the relationship. His source of power, his family, and even his heart. The cruel prince had emotions somewhere deep inside himself.

Skills and Abilities: Loki is a shape shifter, mage, but his favorite weapon is his witty tongue. He will often wield his the spear of destiny, but he can preform magical arts without it. He can teleport though the realms using rifts, and can even give birth. Yep, that about sums it up.

Weaknesses: Loki's brother, Thor. Huge week spot for the prince. He still loves his brother deep down, but on the outside he hates the man for years of mistreatment. Women can also be added to the list. Loki.. is a busy boy on Asgard. He constantly had women bowing to his feet, and has not yet become accustom to the absence of it. Physically, in hand to hand combat Loki fails. He is a magician not a warrior.

--PRESENTATION--

Odin's throne room shone with the golden layers of the Asgardian palace, and it reeked of desolation. Since his father had fallen into another Odin's sleep the youngest prince had spent hours in the room. His brother ruling the kingdom in their father's absence. Loki ran his fingers though his hair, starring at the empty throne. He had no place in this world. He was only an observer if even that. The prince was constantly told to simply stay out of the way, and not to cause any more trouble. Which of course, Loki always managed to do. He didn't mean to cause so much mischief. It simply happened when he was around as if the realms themselves hated him. Without hesitation Loki rose from the steps facing the empty golden chair. For weeks the prince had swam in deep thought about the question to leave Asgard and search for another realm in which he could find a place.

An early voice had rung in his ears for even longer, tempting him to leave. The Yggdrasil had grown, and a creator had made his own realm. One of simple life, but now it longed for something more. The prince could join this world. He could finally have a place. A world in which he was not just his brother's shadow. A realm where he was not a shame to his family. Once again the voice rang in his ears, asking him to join the lonely realm. "Come to thee in a realm where the trees welcome thyself." It sang to him, over and over again. Finally, the prince answered. "I accept your offer. Remove me from my hell." Loki felt his heart sink. What had he done? This was his home, but as he felt the room shift around him the regret washed away. At last he would have a fresh start. A chance to not be hated, and as he felt green grass beneath his felt Loki relaxed. A new world. A new life.
